Rock on! I'm nowhere near 35k but Janet Fitch's pep talk was a bit of a turning for me, with my writing and my story. I create characters I love and then I'm afraid to let anything happen to them! I told myself I wasn't going to give Mycroft (my main character) the love interest he kept trying to write into the story...but after reading Fitch's talk, I went with it and it gave me almost 2k. Yay!
