I spoke with my doctor this morning and was relieved to hear that all my tests do NOT reveal ovarian cancer. Turns out my weight is causing the problems I've experienced the last 3 years.
My doctor says I have PCOS. He said it's not at all uncommon in overweight women. I'm also insulin resistant. The good news is that I can do something about these two problems, mainly lose weight. I have another appointment set up a month after to see how the weight loss is working.
I'm hoping to have the weight off by the end of the year. Slow and steady wins the race! Eating healthy just requires educating myself (I had no idea canned veggies have SUGAR in them--gross!), eating fresh foods (no matter how much they cost), and keeping an open mind because I can do this!
