Up and Running

Lil' sis has her computer connected to Berkeley's campus so now she's clear for take off. She bought her books yesterday and has already started looking through them. She gets along with her roommates (one is from South Korea and the other is from Pasadena) and has lots in common with them. They were watching MTV last night. So funny--I used to watch that channel all the time too when I was their age.

The dorm room is SUPER SMALL...but...they are on the top floor and have an AWESOME view. There's that! I wouldn't be surprised if by her junior year she asks our dad to get her an apartment. I wouldn't blame her because it is just really small.

*Sigh* So she's left the nest. It's hard to believe she's started college. I remember giving her piggy back rides when I was a pre-teen.

Berkeley is completely different from Los Angeles. I always loved it while living in Oakland for 2 years during grad school. I can tell my sis loves it already. Our parents don't like it because they're OLD. Hahaha!

Back to L.A. I go but I'll be back in late October. Woohoo!
