I'm VERY pleased with today's progress. Yesterday was difficult to get through. Going out with friends last night was the perfect remedy. We checked out a new lounge in L.A. called Beechwood. The music was cool. The drinks were yummy. Their sweet potato fries were KILLIN'! Those were a great appetizer choice. My entree was just okay. (Nothing surprising there. I would imagine most trendy Angelinos aren't interested in eating as much as they are in checking out the scene.) Also, I LOVED "American Gangsters" with Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. To be honest, I enjoyed Russell Crowe's acting in the movie a little more than Denzel's. Denzel can sometimes overact but that's just my opinion. The movie should have been called "Gangsters" straight up! :o) I didn't find this film as raw as "The Departed" but it's a close cousin, for sure.

So back to today's wrap-up. I'm definitely learning about my process. So far, I'm averaging about 2K words a day and that's usually where I'm ready--and need--to stop each day. I also noticed that the first 1K is ROUGH to get through but once I reach that first mark, the scenes start to fill in, the characters are in lively interaction, and the ball is on a good roll! I'm having fun.

No more for tonight. I'm going to eat my dessert and watch a movie later.
